Welcome to the McGuffey Reading Center!

McGuffey is the oldest operating University reading center in the country. Located at the University of Virginia, Curry School of Education, we operate diagnostic and teaching clinics staffed by our graduate students and supervised by resident faculty.

In addition, we work with the state through our PALS and Reading First projects, we bring national lectures to the University, we run training workshops, and we serve in-service teachers in the state through McGuffey/TEMPO Reading Outreach.
